World’s top BMX riders participate at the Vans Rebeljam
For riders, by riders and a unique judging system
Eurocamp revamped for the event. Ramps stay in Tossa.

The world’s top BMX riders are traveling down to Tossa de Mar in Spain this weekend, 5-7 October, for a BMX contest created specifically for the riders. The result is some of the most progressive BMX riding on the planet. For the first time in rebeljam’s history, the event will have riders enter four BMX freestyle disciplines; Flatland, Street, Dirt and Park. Qualification rounds start on Saturday. Finals are scheduled for Sunday October 7th.
The event will take place at Eurocamp, a popular ramp park that was started by Axel Jurgens a little over a year ago. New ramps are being built specifically for the big weekend and the dirt jump section will be extended especially for the rebeljam. After the event the ramps and dirt jumps are going to stay for the Spanish scene and Eurocamp visitors to enjoy. This is part of the rebeljam’s philosophy, always searching for a way to support the BMX scene.
Monster Energy’s Andy Buckworth (AUS) will make it to Spain for the first time and will enter both the park and dirt competition. In the Pro Park class the Australian will find strong competition from riders who have confirmed attendance including a.o. ,Harry Main (UK), Gary Young (USA), Daniel Sandoval (USA), Kevin Peraza (USA), and Mark Webb (UK), to name a few. A handful of Spanish Park riders, lead by Daniel Penafiel, will make their presence known. Bombing down the hill on the dirt course with Andy Buckworth will be Matt Priest (UK), Rob Darden (USA), Ben Hennon (UK), Kevin Kalkoff (Fra) and many more.

2012 Flatland world champion Matthias Dandois from France and Circle Of Balance ruler Viki Gomez from Spain are looking forward to the flatland contest on the beach which has a judging system that is different from what is being used at other competitions. During the finals at the rebeljam, each rider receives three scores; One for Hard Tricks, one for Style and one score for Creativity.
Many pro street riders have signed up for the 6th rebeljam. Vans riders Dan Lacey (UK), Dakota Roche (USA) and Bruno Hoffmann (Ger) will rip the new Eurocamp street course apart with Alex Kennedy (UK), Alex Valentino (Fra) and Paul Ryan (UK). The rider list looks amazing, for further info on who are going to ride in Tossa de Mar on 5-7 October, head over to rebeljam.com.
Rebeljam Tickets are available at the door at 6 Euros per day, 10 Euros for 2 days, or 15 Euros for all three days.
For those who cannot make it to the rebeljam itself we’ve got some good news. You can follow the event live on www.rebeljam.com. The live webcast will cover the qualification rounds and the finals as well.
